Fun piece of DMV Go - Go trivia. Way back in 2011, Ari Lennox (She went by a different name then) was the top contender in the "Are You the Lipstick" competition that was being held by GoGoTix.co founder and Mambo Sauce creator/manager/producer Malachai Johns. The contest was to find a singer for a new band called Lipstick and Congas. She ended up having an emergency and not being able to make it on the day of the live auditions. So Allison Balanc ended up chosen as the vocalist for the band. Things turned out ok for Ari we guess, but we would loved her voice in Go - Go!!!!
